How I met Jesus, media personality explains

The media personality chastised the mindset of Nigerian christians, claiming that they have refused to grown spiritually.

In a chat with Encomium Magazine, Charly Boy expressed that his experience with Jesus was the "freakiest moment of his life, stating that God wants Nigerians to have a better perception about christianity.

He explained that Christians of the present days have failed to grow themselves spiritually as expected of them.

"My encounter with Jesus was the freakiest moment, and if you read the piece I wrote, it is just saying that God really wants us to be real but the Nigeria perception about Jesus and how it works is just too Nigerian for my liking."

"They look at Jesus/God as babalawo or the pastors make some sacrifices and bring some money and goats and all the problems will disappear."

"It doesn’t happen like that and these days people are not going to church to nurture their spirituality."

Reacting to a question concerning what Jesus instructed him to stop doing, Charly Boy said, "All those contrived stuff that Charly Boy did and not me as Mr. Oputa, they have been outgrown. So, I have left them for other people who want to continue the madness."

The media personality has become quite vocal in recent times, especially during the dawn of the marriage issue between Mavin Records singer, Tiwa Savage, and her estranged husband, Tee Billz.
