''I still have to call him Bruce'' – star's mom speaks out

Ester Jenner, 88, tells Access Hollywood, ''It's going to be a struggle for me to get used to the change.''

 

Bruce Jenner may have his new female identity – Caitlyn Jenner - but according to his 88-year-old mother, Ester Jenner, he still remain her dear son.

Ester tells Access Hollywood on Monday, June 1that although she feels happy for her child, ''I still have to call him Bruce. His father [William] and I named him that. It's going to be a struggle for me to get used to the change, but happily so... I'm very happy for him – or her!''

The octogenarian later revealed she and Caitlyn met even before her now infamous Vanity Fair cover, ''I was there last week, well actually, I got home a week and a half ago. And I met Caitlyn. She is… so much more at ease,'' Ester continued.

When asked what she thought of her child's new look now, the old woman replied: ''She's beautiful!''

Earlier in April, Ester had admitted on 'Diane Sawyer Special' that, Esther told him: ''I want you [Bruce] to be happy, and I love you. I was very proud of you when you stood on that podium in Montreal – I never thought I could be more proud of you, but I'm learning I can be.''
