Grammy winner fails to impress NY subway passengers

Has the NYC subway finally buried the Grammy winner's career?

Brandy ignored on NYC subway

Brandy took to a New York City subway recently and thought it would be cool to treat the unsuspecting passengers to an impromptu performance but to her greatest surprise, no one really gave a crap!

The 36-year-old singer-actress, who sported shades and a white hoodie, sang her heart out in the middle of the subway car and seemed to be in her own world.

Brandy, who is currently starring in Broadway’s Chicago as Roxie Hart, is used to performing in front of crowds and crowds of people but when she asked the other passengers for some feedback following her spontaneous gig, she gets crickets.

''What y’all thought of that? Y’all thought that was cool?'' she asks. ''Hello? Nobody heard me singing? Nobody cares? OK.”

But at least one guy noticed and in turn, he offered her some advice. ''You gotta go up there and engage the people. You’re too much into yourself,” he said. “You gotta go up and sell yourself. Don’t be scared. You got talent, man. Go for it! We’ve seen this a million times. You gotta do something different.''

Little does he know, he’s talking to a GRAMMY winner. Well, at least Brandy’s voice was on point.
