Buzzing rapper arrested for drug trafficking

The rapper behind the viral hit 'Hot Nigga' has been arrested with charges of drug trafficking.

Upcoming rapper Bobby Shmurda was arrested in New York City on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 in connection with drug trafficking and street violence.

Bobby Shmurda's whose real names are Ackquille Pollard was placed into custody by investigators after he was arrested outside Quad Recording Studios on Seventh Avenue.

12 other people associated with the rapper were also arrested. An investigation is currently being carried out, and further details and charges will be revealed in court on Tuesday.

This is Bobby Shmurda's third run-in with the law. The 20 year old rapper was arrested in June for possession of an illegal firearm. In October he was arrested for possession of marijuana.
