Katherine McKee is the latest woman to come out with her own rape ordeal in the hands of Bill Cosby. Katherine says she was raped in a hotel room by the comedian in the early 1970s.
Another “victim” has emerged claiming she was raped by American comedy veteran, Bill Cosby, in the early 1970s.
Over 20 women have come out alleging that they were once victims of rape in the hands of Bill Cosby.
The latest to emerge is Katherine McKee who on Monday, December 22, alleged that stand-up comedian raped her in a Michigan hotel room in the early 1970s. Katherine McKee who is an actress alleges that Cosby forced himself on her after inviting her to a party on a boat in Detroit.
Like all the women who have come out to claim likewise in recent months, Katherine McKee said she never publicly discussed the incident until now.
“It was a rape, but it seemed so strange to call it that. We think of rape as a stranger who attacks you in a parking lot. I chalked it up to another powerful person in Hollywood who just felt he could take what he wanted from women,” McKee who is now 65 told New York Daily News.
Katherine McKee said the incident happened when the he met the comedian in Detroit in the early 70s. McKee claimed that Cosby invited her to the party and then asked her to meet him in his room with some ribs from a local barbecue joint.
“I remember I walked in the door, and he had a robe and cap on. He took the ribs from my hands and just grabbed me. It was so fast and so shocking and so unbelievable," she recalled.
Katherine McKee also suggested that the embattled Bill Cosby should sit for a lie detector test.
Cosby has been under fire as allegations that he drugged women and sexually assaulted them, keep surfacing. He has never been criminally charged in connection with the accusations, and his lawyer has denied many of them.
Cosby settled a lawsuit in 2005 with a Pennsylvania woman who said he drugged and fondled her.
Prosecutors in Los Angeles on Tuesday, December 16, declined to press charges in that case because the statute of limitations had expired.
