EME boss wants Fashola to be Buhari's running mate

R&B singer Banky W has thrown his hat into the public debate regarding who should be General Buhari's running mate in the upcoming presidential elections.

According to the singer now turned director, his choice for Buhari's running mate should be the Governor of Lagos state, Babatunde Fashola. Banky who is about to premiere his music film says that the Buhari/Fashola ticket would be ideal, even if they are both muslims.

He stated that religion has nothing to do with political competence. He reeled off his thoughts in a series of tweets. "I don't care about my leader's tribe, religion, or whatever jargon they keep feeding us. Zoning. Religion-ing. It's all crap. Who cares if Fashola is a muslim? Didn't we vote him into power in Lagos? Did the fact that he's muslim affect the way he lead the state?" he said in a bunch of tweets.

The label boss went on to say tribalism and religion are the twin factors used by the political class to hold Nigerians back.

Banky W went on to mention that MKO Abiola won the 1993 Presidential elections on a muslim/muslim ticket. He ended his political motivated tweets with "God save Nigeria."
