Boy band cry as they get a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

A.J McLean, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell literally cried while getting their biggest honor

Backstreet Boys

The tears came rolling down as members of the popular music all-boy band, Backstreet Boys received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on September 18.

In an exclusive b-t-s footage of A.J McLean, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell receiving their honor amidst fans and media, some of the group members couldn’t help but shed tears while trying to dish out their appreciation speeches.

“For us, as the Backstreet Boys, to be honored here, to be put in stone, next to The Osmond Family, next to Boyz II Men — I know, we’ve made a mark in history.”

Nick faced a ton of screaming fans during his speech, so it was tough to even hear him, of course! “When I was a really young boy, I first came to Hollywood — hopped on a plane with my mother, [and] we had dreams of, thinking I was going to become Leonardo DiCaprio, but that didn’t work. I never ever imagined in a million years that would be a part of this. I didn’t know it was even possible," he said.

AJ and Brian wrapped it up through tears, too. AJ calling it the best day of his life, after his wedding day and the birth of his daughter of course. And Brian definitely got emotional, actually wiping his eyes after thanking God.

I’ve worked my entire life to not be walked on, but I’m okay with this one,’ Brian Littrell says when BSB receive their very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
