The event which was held to spotlight ‘woman crush’ and ‘Honoree’ had in attendance several female celebrities from the entertainment industry including, Annie Idibia, Toolz, DJ Lambo, Dolapo Oni, Bolanle 'Bolinto' Olukanni, Krystn Enem and others.
Female singers Imanse, Maya, and Brenda (from The Voice Nigeria) wowed the audience with a lovely performance while honouree Dolapo Oni and Wana Udobang delivered an inspiring piece to empower and inspire other women guests at the event.
Chigurl another honouree had a great improv on stage.
The headliner for the night, Eva Alordiah delivered an electrifying and sensual performance of her singles ‘Zombie’, and ‘War Coming’ before proceeding to speak on her childhood and teen years, growing up as a tomboy.
According to her, she once rejected everything feminine, and was busy with clothes that were associated with masculinity before finally embracing her feminity.
“I wanted to be a boy, and so I became a tomboy”, She said. “I wore bandannas, baggy jeans, do-rags, and checked out women”.
Meanwhile, Girlfactor band thrilled the audience with an electrifying performance while the music for the evening was provided by DJ Nana, and DJ Switch, who sent the crowd into a frenzy.
She Rocks is a first of its kind event in Lagos, Nigeria and will be held monthly every 3rd Wednesday of the month at Hard Rock Cafe Lagos.
Other performances were from Korra Obidi and Khemmie from The Voice.
