5 things you should know about the media personality in the eye of the storm

Here are a number of things you should know about the beautiful media personality, Stephanie Coker.

She has had a very successful career in the last few years making her a very successful media girl. However, her marriage to Olumide Aderinokun has been marred by controversies. Beyond the drama, we want to share with you all you need to know about the gorgeous media personality.

1. Early Childhood

Stephanie Omowunmi Eniafe Coker was born in Lagos, Nigeria on 28 November 1989 to Nigerian parents. She relocated with her parents at the tender age of 1 to the United Kingdom. Her father is from Badagry while her mother hails from Abeokuta in Ogun state.

2. Education

For her primary school education, Stephanie Coker attended St Mary’s Church of England Primary school in North London. After her secondary school education, she wanted to become a lawyer but however attended Brunel University in West London, where she studied Mass Communications.

3. Career

Stephanie Coker's journey to the media started while she was at Brunel University where she interned at MTV, Channel Four and Media Moguls PR. She got the job of a presenter in 2011 at London 360, a Community Channel in the UK. When Stephanie Coker moved back to Nigeria in 2011, she got her first job as a presenter with MTV Base where she hosted the popular show, “Street Request."

Since then Stephanie Coker has gone on to become one of the most popular presenters in the country. From co-hosting the Guinness Colourful World of more concert, an event earlier scheduled to be anchored by Bow Wow in 2013 to starring in the popular TV series 'Tinsel.' Stephanie Coker is the co-host of the singing talent reality show 'The Voice.'

4. Relationship/Marriage

Stephanie Coker featured in rapper, Lynxxx's video 'My Place' some years ago and after the release of the video there became speculations that they were romantically linked. She, however, debunked the claims. However, in 2017, Stephanie Coker tied the knot with her heartthrob, Olumide Aderinokun in a romantic getaway wedding which took place in Greece.

5. Controversy

Stephanie Coker is among the few celebrities who have always distanced themselves from controversies and scandals. But the last few months of Stephanie Coker's marriage to Olumide Aderinokun has been marred with controversies upon controversies.

First was in December 2017 when he was arrested for defrauding a lady off her N16M over a property scam. Then came the bigger scandal in February 2018 when a viral photoshopped chat conversation Olumide had with an undergraduate of Bells University of Technology, Otta. He has come out to deny the reports and so has the undergraduate, Yolanda. Stephanie Coker is however yet to comment on the issue.
