Mexican singer dies from gunshot wounds to the head

45-year-old popular Mexican singer Alejandro Fuentes was shot three times in the head in Illinois, Chicago.

BBC reports, Fuentes was shot on his birthday Thursday, June 16, 2016 outside Tras Bambalinas School, a performing arts school he owned.

He was shot inside his car during an attempted carjacking in Brighton Park in Chicago, Illinois after he refused complying with the request of the gunman who ordered him to get out of the car at gun point.

It was further gathered that he died two days later from his injuries at Chicago’s Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago.Alejandro Fuentes was a former finalist on Mexico’s version of 'The Voice'  singing show in 2011.
