Durable Steel Structures claim the singer owes up to $36,765 in debt and also says, in the suit that Akon's mother, Kine Gueye Thiam, got in the middle of their plans, causing them to stop work.
The contractor tells TMZ he's done a lot of work to design a glass floor that will make it seem like you're walking above a coral reef. He says the plan is to have LED lights projecting the reef images below the glass.
The contractor claims once it came time to install the floor in Akon's house, the singer's mom couldn't make a decision about the lighting ... so now he's left holding the bag, with an incomplete job and unpaid services.
According to reports, the US-Senegalese superstar and his mother were in similar situation back in 2012. Both were sued for owing a construction company $51,9421 for work in the same house.
Again, in January 2014, the Konvict boss was served a lawsuit for allegedly duping an Egyptian singer, Tamer Hosny, who claimed Akon failed to appear on his single.
Neither Akon nor his reps have made any comments . We'll keep you all posted.
