LASU Best Graduating Students To Get N1.65m Oba Scholarship

Students of  Lagos State University (LASU), now have one more reason to study hard following the institution of an annual scholarship worth N1.65 million ($10,000) for the best graduating student of the institution.

The announced of the education aid scheme was announced at the the launching of the Oba Adeniji-Adele Foundation, held at the Lagos City Hall, Lagos.

A representative of the family of late Oba Musendiq Adeniji-Adele said the family instituted the scholarship to mark the 50th anniversary of his death.

Speaking at the event, a former Lagos Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Social Development, Prince Ademola Adeniji-Adele, said the scholarship would immortalize the late Oba and encourage academic excellence.

Awardees of the scholarship would be allowed to pursue a postgraduate degree in any discipline.
