Tributes have continue to pour in for Dr. Deji Adejobi, a lecturer in the department of Agricultural Economics of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, who was assassinated at his residence on Tuesday.

According to the late don’s child, Oyin Adejobi, the assassins murdered him in his residence after trailing him home.

Oyin said the 15-minute attack started around 10:05 pm after the family’s evening prayer.

They shot and killed him and left with his car.

“I overheard daddy begging them that they should not take him away,” Oyin said.

“When they left, we thought they took him away and we started praying for the safety of daddy without knowing that he had been killed.

"When the police came, they saw his lifeless body in the flower."
