He said,  “This is to bring to the notice of all lions and lionesses, that the house of representatives in her sitting held on October 30, 2017, upon deliberations on the allegations of financial misappropriation, embezzlement of union funds and crass incompetence put before it, has come to the following conclusions:

“Having had before it, indubitable evidence of embezzlement of funds to the tune of over N4 million by the SUG president, the president stands impeached.

“On the grounds of financial misappropriation and embezzlement of union funds, denigration and complete disregard of the house, the vice-president stands impeached.

“Guilty of financial misappropriation, commercialization of union properties without the consent of the house, crass negligence and ineptitude, the director of transport stands impeached.

“All impeached officials are forthwith, denied all privileges of membership of the executive council and mandated to return all properties of the union to the secretary-general, within 7 days.”

However, two students of the University who spoke to Pulse about the impeachment of the SUG President said they have not heard about it.

A student simply identified as Michael said he has not confirmed the story.

"There are lots of stories going online. I myself I am not in school, I am actually in Lagos, I will probably go back to school tomorrow t confirm that. If you want concrete information when I get back to school I can give you something better but for now, no comment."

Another student who does not want her name mentioned said the impeachment story might not be true because the SUG President has been at the forefront agitation for the reduction of school fee which was recently increased.

''I have not heard anything like that. I have been offline for quite sometime, I just came online yesterday. Maybe that is why I have not got to know about it. Besides the school just resumed on Monday. If he was impeached this week, I don't think the story is true because right now we are having issues with increment in our school fees and it is the SUG President and his officials that are going about having meetings with the VC and other administrators to reduce the school fee.''
