A 47-year-old high school teacher, Anthony Dwight Rice, has been arrested and remanded in prison for having sexual relationship with his student.

Anthony Dwight Rice, a physical education teacher, is facing three counts of violation of the school employee sex act after a sexual relationship with a female student.

He allegedly maintained the sexual relationship between December 2014 and April 2015.
Rice was a physical education and driver's education teacher at Ashville High School.
gathered that he was to St. Clair County Jail Monday on three counts of violation of the school employee sex act.

Rice, who coached several sports, has since resigned from the school.
