The Chairman, All Progressive Governors Forum and Governor of Imo State, Rochas Owelle Okorocha, said on Monday that Nigerian leaders should learn to make schools more comfortable than homes for conducive learning.

He stated his regrets at how leaders pay more attention to home beautification than making schools more conducive for learning which he said, hinders educational development in the country.“We must make our classrooms more beautiful, comfortable and centres of attraction than our homes because it is where the future of our country lies,” he said.Commissioning the Model Primary School built by the Sokoto State Universal Basic Education Board in collaboration with the UBEC at Mana area of Sokoto, he said the era of beautifying homes and buying flashy cars for children had gone.
He maintained that there is no future for children without education, quoting a verse of the Holy Qur’an which says “read” to buttress his argument. He pledged to build a Rocha’s Foundation College in the state.
