Students of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) have taken to social media to mourn the death of their colleague who was electrocuted to death on Tuesday night.

Oluchi Anekwe, a 300-level student of Accounting, lost her life after a high tension cable fell on her near UNILAG's Sodeinde Residence as she walked to her hostel.

Following her tragic death, the school community and other well-wishers expressed their sadness on Facebook and Twitter.

Reposts say Anekwe was a lively and brilliant student who was set to graduate with a first class degree.
