The Executive Secretary of the NUC has asked private universities in Nigeria to emulate Redeemer's' University and move to their permanent sites.
Private universities still operating from temporary sites have been urged to relocate to their permanent sites like the Redeemer's' University (RUN), Ede, Osun State.
The call was made by the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC) Professor Julius Okojie who spoke at RUN's 6th Convocation Ceremony held on Thursday, 8th of January 2015.
Okojie, who was represented at the occasion by NUC Visiting Professor, Adebisi Balogun, lauded the management of RUN for its relocation.
He said it is a milestone in the university's journey to becoming a centre of excellence.
The 6th convocation was the first held at its Ede permanent site.
A total of 598 students graduated; 28 with First Class, 201 with Second Class Upper-Division, 266 with Second Class Lower-Division and 103 in other categories.
The best graduating student, Miss Ibukunoluwa Busayo, who had a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.93, was given a scholarship for her Masters Degree.
Redeemer's' University was established in January 2005 as the 9th private university in Nigeria.
