All students of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) will be screened for the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) before they are allowed into the institution's campus.

UNILORIN, Vice-Chancellor of Prof. AbdulGaniyu Ambali, said this while announcing the procurement of N1.2 million anti-Ebola kits, Vanguard reports.

Ambali said the procurement of the equipments, which face masks, boots, hand-gloves, automatic soap dispenser, infrared thermometer and disposable bed spreads, puts the university on the ready to tackle the disease.

“The procurement of the anti-Ebola kits is part of the university’s preparedness to tackle the epidemic headlong,” he said.

He urged the  institution's health workers to remain alert and follow laid down protocols.
