JAMB surrenders to the 'voice of God', vows to improve Nigerian education
Following pressure from stakeholders, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has reversed its decision on reassigning candidates for the Post-UTME examination.
JAMB’s Public Relations officer, Fabian Benjamin, on Wednesday said the Board has decided to listen to the voice of the people which is also the voice of God.
“Following the various public opinions, we have taken two approaches to ease the problems of our candidates,” Benjamin said.
By this announcement, candidates can sit for the post-UTME in their first choice institutions.
Benjamin said the body will not relent in its efforts to make boost Nigerian education.
“The Board will not relent in its efforts to see that our education is one of the best in the world," he added.
JAMB Registrar, Professor Dibu Ojerinde, had earlier explained that the decision to reassign candidates was to help needy universities with lower number of candidates, as well as give the candidates better chances of admission.
