Oyedepo removes tuition for agricultural science students
All the nine agricultural science programs at Landmark University are now free.
According to the information on the University's Twitter handle, the tuition-free programs will take effect from 2018/2019 Academic Session.
The university also stated that all agricultural courses in the university, such as Crop Science, Animal Science, Agric Extension & Rural Development, Agric Economics, Agribusiness Management, Environmental & Natural Resource Economics, Aquaculture and Fisheries Management, Tourism and Recreation, Horticulture and Landscape management will now be run free of charge.
Prospective students who would like to study an Agricultural Science course in the school are however advised to contact the admission unit for more information about the tuition-free programs.
Oyedepo plans to have seven universities
Landmark University is the second university to be established by Bishop David Oyedepo, who is also the Founder and Chancellor of Covenant University, Ota.
In November 2014, Oyedepo during the celebration of his 60th birthday announced that he plans to establish seven universities.
Oyedepo who also reiterated his plan in an interview in November 2018 said the need to avoid having too many students on one campus is one of the reasons he decided to establish seven universities across the country.
