LAUTECH Engineering graduate constructs functional hi-tech drone

Olaolu Ayoola, a LAUTECH Computer Science/Engineering graduate and suerving NYSC corp member, designed and constructed his own surveilance drone. He successfully tested it on Monday.

A serving member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Olaolu Ayoola, has been commended by the Army after he tested a drone he designed and constructed by himself on Monday.

Ayoola, a Computer Science/Engineering graduate of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), flew his drone to a cheering audience at the closing ceremony of the Osun state Batch C Orientation exercise.

Ayoola's drone, painted in patriotic green-white-green, boasts a 20 minutes Fly-Time with an inbuilt surveillance camera and BB Monitor.

Present at the occasion were the Deputy Governor of Osun state, Otunba (Mrs.) Grace Titilayo Laoye-Tomori, and some military officers.
