The director of Media and Publicity, Malam Ibrahim Sheme, revealed that the government's endorsement was equally beneficial to three other universities running a similar programme.

The approval was communicated to the commission via a statement issued by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

The three universities include the University of Uyo, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, and University of Maiduguri.

The statement also revealed that e-learning is one of the avenues the Commission is looking into with hopes of increasing accessibility to university education without any compromise on the quality.
