The management of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), has secured funds for the purpose of sending its academic staff for post-graduate training abroad.

More UNILORIN's lecturers will be sent abroad for postgraduate training and international conferences to enhance their efficiency in 2015. The institution’s VC, Prof. AbdulGaniyu Ambali revealed this in a recent interview.
Revealing this during an interview with Unilorin Bulletin, the institution's Vice-Chancellor, Prof. AbdulGaniyu Ambali, said his administration’s commitment to the continuous training and retraining of the staff is aimed at enhancing to enhance their efficiency.
“We also hope that over the next one year, we should be able to send more of our academic staff for post-graduate training in various parts of the world and we have gotten some money to do that," Ambali said.
The Vice Chancellor added that the institution will also facilitate staff attendance at international conferences.
“In the New Year, the University management hopes to continue upgrading the standard of the academic staff by supporting them with international conference attendance.
"This is to encourage socialisation of our academic staff with colleagues from other institutions across the globe”.
Ambali thanked the university community for their contribution to the achievements of the university.
