The diplomat said this on Wednesday in Abuja at an event organized by the Federal Ministry of Education to honor Dr Victor Olalusi, a Nigerian who scored 5.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) in the Faculty of Clinical Sciences, Russian National Research Medical University, Moscow (RNRMU) in 2013.

Olalusi, a Federal Government sponsored Scholar, emerged the best graduating student in the whole Russian Federation.

“Nigeria is blessed with abundant human potential which is officially acknowledged in Russia," Romanov said.

“It has been acknowledged in the Russian Ministry of Education that Nigerians have a lot of exceptional talents.

"Genetically, Nigerians grasp knowledge easily.

He called Olalusi "a hardworking person" and urged him to give back to Nigeria.

"It is not easy to achieve such in Russia; it goes with talent and hard work.

“I urge you to engage your knowledge in the development of your fatherland.’’

The Director, Federal Scholarship Board, Ifeoma Agunwa, said Olalusi earned 5.0 GPA in all the courses he took in the seven entire 7-year duration of his studies, including Russian languages.
