Named ‘the Voice of the Masses', the student-operated radio station will feature nine programmes that cut across news, entertainment, interviews, discussions, health issues, music, sport among others, Daily Trust reports.

According to the studio manager, Captain Abraham Shammah, students selected from 100 to 400 levels in the department were trained to run the station as on-air personalities and analysts.

The President of Mass Communication Students Association (MACOSA), Ofim Kelechi, credited the head of department, Tonnie O. Iredia, a former Member of the Management Board and Director General of Nigerian Television Authority.

He urged his colleagues to make the best use of the opportunities presented by the radio station.
