Taraba state's 21 year-old Polytechnic has been running courses which have not been accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NABTEB).
According to a Daily Trust report, the chairman of the Joint Action Committee of Tertiary Institutions the state, AbduKarim Bello, said this on Wednesday at a news conference in in Jalingo.
Bello asked the state government to address the situation which has negatively impacted graduates of the institution, especially with regards to securing employment outside the state.
"Though the polytechnic was established to train middle level workers in the state, government should ensure the accreditation of all courses and facilities in order add value and make the certificates awarded recognized nationwide," Bello said.
He also urged the government to ensure that facilities and building at the new site of the polytechnic meet accreditation requirements.
