The students also insisted the gates would not be opened until the state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, comes to the school to address the issues himself.

It was learned that the students’ resulted into the action after several meetings with the Vice Chancellor, Prof. John Obafunwa and the school unions; Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, SSANU and Non-Academic Staff Union, NASU to allow full academic activities commence in the school ended in deadlock.

The spokesperson for the LASU Student Union, LASU Mr. Fatai Adebanjo, lamented that many who should have graduated from the school have been forced to spend extra years due to the continued face-off between the management and the unions.

Nobody agreed to speak for the school authority.
