A 30-year-old ex-convict and student of Lagos State Polytechnic, Isolo campus, Bolarinwa Oluwafemi, has been handed an 18-month jail term by an Ijeshatedo Magistrate’s court.

Bolarinwa, a student, and convicted laptop thief has been handed an 18-month jail term, just two months after he completed a 2-year jail term for the same offence
Bolarinwa's case is peculiar because he only just concluded a 2-year jail term for the same offence.
A Mushin Magistrate court had sentenced him to two years imprisonment after he pleaded guilty to the charge of laptop theft.
Student Pulse gathered that Bolarinwa was caught committing the crime for the second time at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).
Security guards caught him at the LUTH gate as he tried to escape with an N83,000 worth laptop belonging to a student identified as Adaku Agim.
He was promptly arrested was arrested and charged to court by the police.
Bolarinwa pleaded guilty and begged for leniency but the prosecutor, Mr Kunle Shonibare, told the court that ex-convict was habitual criminal who would not change.
Presiding Magistrate, Mrs O.A. Gbajumo, sentenced him to 18 months imprisonment without an option of fine.
She added that he would be a bad influence to society if let off.
