A Lagos Federal High Court has sentenced a 30-year-old polytechnic student to six months imprisonment for dealing in illicit drug.
Adimoha was arraigned by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on a charge of dealing in illicit drug.
According to the prosecutor, Mr Orji Kalu, the convict committed the offence on Oct. 10, 2014.
The court heard that the suspect was arrested by a surveillance team of the NDLEA with about 2.40 kilogrammes of Indian hemp in an uncompleted building in Satellite Town.
Kalu said that the offence contravened Section 11 (c) of the NDLEA Act, 2004.
Justice Mohammed Idris then sentenced Adimoha after he pleaded guilty to the offence.
“He is, accordingly, sentenced to six months imprisonment, which term shall start running from the date of his arrest," Justice Idris said.
The Judge ordered that the exhibits be returned to the office of the NDLEA for destruction.
