UNILAG drop-out murders own dad with scissors

A fatherly reprimand was all Moses Tifase offered his 25-year-old son who is a UNILAG drop-out. But he lost his life as the latter stabbed him in the neck with a pair of scissors in anger.

A 25-year-old University of Lagos (UNILAG) drop out, Oluropo Tifase, has been arrested for murdering his father with a scissors.

Oluropo was arrested by Detectives from the Homicide Department of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, Yaba, Lagos after he reportedly fatally stabbed his own father, Moses Tifase, during an argument.

The deceased was according to reports reprimanding his son over his inappropriate behaviour before the latter attacked him.

Confirming the tragedy, the Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO), Kenneth Nwosu, said the suspect's mother and sister were present at the time the crime was committed.

“The suspect and his late father had a sour relationship, due to his unruly behaviour. The father and the son have not been in good relationship, but on the fateful day of the incident, the suspect and his father engaged each other in a serious argument," Nwosu reportedly said.

“The suspect angrily picked up a pair of scissors and stabbed his father on the neck.

‘’Before officers from FESTAC station could arrive at the scene, Mr. Moses was already lifeless and lying in the pool of his blood."

Nwosu further revealed that three suspects have been taken in for further investigation.

Student Pulse learnt that the Oluropo was once a student of UNILAG before he was dismissed.
