The Sokoto state government is making more effort to improve the educational standard in the state.
Tambuwal to spend N44m on Sokoto students
Sokoto State governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has purchased JAMB forms worth about N44 million
The state governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal recently purchased Joint Admission and Matriculation forms (JAMB) worth N44 million.
These forms will be distributed to 8000 students in the state.
This development was confirmed in a statement signed by Tambuwal’s spokesperson, Mallam Imam Imam, who clarified that the forms is for the indigent students seeking admission into tertiary institution.
The government will also be supporting Sokoto indigenes studying outside Nigeria.
Tambuwal, who spoke in Kampala, Uganda at the graduation ceremony of students from Sokoto under the state scholarship scheme at the weekend, promised to assist students with exceptional intellect.
No fewer than, 236 students from Sokoto bagged various degrees from the Islamic University, Eastern African nation (Uganda).
