Registration fee is N5,000 but UTME candidates will pay an additional N500 to obtain a compulsory reading text.
This was announced by the Board spokesman, Fabian Benjamin during an interaction with newsmen on Sunday, December 3.
While registration fee is N5,000 Benjamin said that UTME candidates will pay an additional N500 to obtain a compulsory reading text “IN DEPENDENCE” and “The Last Days at Forcados High School” for direct entry candidates.
He added that the candidates will also write a mock examination which will be conducted for three days.
He said, “The MOCK examination shall commence from Monday 22 to Wednesday 24 January 2018 and the CBT Centres are allowed to collect, through their bank accounts, a separate ₦700 for this exercise from interested candidates after notification of the centre has been received by the candidate.”
Meanwhile, the board had proposed March 9 to 17, 2018 as the date for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations.
Why sale of UTME form was postponed
Recall that JAMB had earlier announced November 22 for the commencement of the sale of he 2018 UTME application form.
According to Benjamin, the sale of the forms suffered delay due to the publishers’ inability to print the 1.8 million copies of the forms before the deadline.
He however said that the Board would work round the clock to ensure a new date was announced soon while urging intending applicants to visit the board's website and familiarise themselves with the application procedures.
