Members of LAUTECH's Team High Rise, which included Adefioye Temidayo, Faleye Benjamin, Oyebisi Jemil and Ibraheem Bello, clinched the first prize in the competition with their solution, 'Catara' which helps significantly reduce the incidence of total blindness induced by cataract.
LAUTECH Students Emerge Tops In Microsoft Nigeria Imagine Cup
A student team from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Ogbomoso, have been announced the winners of the 2014 Microsoft Nigeria Imagine Cup.
Team High Rise will compete in the Imagine Cup World Semifinals slated for July, 2014 in Seattle.
A total of 9 teams competed from various Nigerian institutions..
Microsoft's Nigeria Imagine Cup is a student competition which centers on the use of imagination, creativity and technology in solving world's problems.
It provides young entrepreneurs an opportunity to develop their ideas into products and also set workable business models to market the product.
