Tsara made the disclosure at an event put together for the donation on Sunday, October 23, saying that it was his personal contribution to boosting education in the area, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.
He said that the uniforms would go a long way to support the efforts put in by parents while encouraging the pupils.
”Similarly, the gesture will encourage more parents to enrol their children in schools.
”This is absolutely imperative, as there is the need to shore up the enrolment, retention and completion of the pupils,” he said.
The LG chairman also promised to repeat the kind gesture in all eleven wards of the local government area.
NAN reports that Tsara also expressed support for the declaration of the state of emergency by the state government on the educational sector.
He added that his administration would continue to prioritise education, as it is the "elixir for national development."
