As the Senator who represents Danfulani at the Senate, I am watching how the judiciary is handling this case.“Without prejudice to the competence of our Judiciary arm of government in Kaduna State, I want to caution that political and social pressure should not come to bear on him to deny him fair trial.

“I also want to call on all the people of Southern Kaduna and indeed all law abiding residents of Kaduna state to please remain calm and observed how the Court will treat this issue, being the last hope of everyone”, he said in conclusion.

It could be recalled that Danfulani was queried by KASU, and on January 18, suspended from work, over a facebook comment he allegedly made against the North, which KASU said was inciting. Three days later,  Kaduna State Police Command asked KASU to produce Danfulani for interrogation over the comment.

Danfulani, who had some engagements in India al through  this time, came down and submitted himself to the Police, who arrested him and put him on trail  before Justice Awal Musa of Chief Magistrate Court 1, Kaduna over the comment.
