A 14 year old Junior Secondary School student at Burihanudeen UBE School, Isale-Koko, Ilorin, has committed suicide after a disagreement with her 20-year-old boyfriend.

Aishat Oba reportedly killed herself by swallowing a poisonous substance believed to be an insecticide after a disagreement with her 20-year-old boyfriend.
Reports say the tragedy occurred at her family home located at Ile-Olowo Compound in Opo-Malu Area of the Kwara state capital city.
She was found gasping and initially rushed to a private hospital which referred her to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH).
Unfortunately she died despite efforts to save her life.
The boyfriend, identified as Rafiu, had threatened to kill her if she were to get romantically involved with anyone else.
Rafiu, an alleged member of the recognized vigilante group, Oodua People’s Congress (OPC), is presently on the run.
