An unnamed person has reported the Rector of the Imo State Polytechnic, Umuagwo, Rev. Fr. Wence Madu, to the priests of the dreaded Okija Shrine in Anambra State.

Rev. Fr. Wence Madu, Rector of the Imo State Polytechnic, to the priests of the dreaded Okija Shrine in Anambra State. He received an invitation letter asking him to undo the injustice he is accused of committing or appear at the shrine to prove his innocence.
According to a Daily Independent report, Madu, received an invitation letter, signed by one Ukaegbu N. Ogidi, to come to the shrine and answer for the complaints of injustice against him.
Madu was given an option to undo the injustice he is accused of committing or appear at the shrine to prove his innocence.
Ogidi wrote that the rector "should feel free to reverse the injustice with your conspirators and collaborators against the complainants to avoid coming to Ogwugwu and other unpleasant consequences."
The Rev. Fr. was warned to only appear at the shrine if he has clean hands or face possible death.
"Ogwugwu kills only those whose hands are not clean, especially those who committed evil against their fellow human beings at work places, churches, mosques, markets and other public places," it read.
Ogidi also added in the letter that the Rector must respond to the invitation of face the consequences.
"But where you fail to come because of any reason, we shall come to your residence or office," the letter warned.
"The truth must be uncovered at all cost."
The Rector could not be reached for comments.
In a 2004 raid on the Okija shrine, several human corpses and skeletons were discovered in the surrounding forest.
