Suspected cultists have reportedly murdered a secondary school leaver in Okwe Quarters, Asaba, Delta state.

Reports have it that 20-year-old Isichei Paul was murdered by said cultists who were on a rampage in the area. It was gathered that the cultists were having a misunderstanding, which quickly escalated, causing one of them to shoot Paul in close range.

Sources also disclosed that Paul was held hostage by the cultists after being invited over via a telephone call. During the altercation, the cultists allegedly attacked the victim, inflicting deep cuts on him before shooting him.

Delta state acting Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Charles Muka had this to say on the incident;

"Residents, who were interviewed, said they heard sound of gunshot, which made them scamper to safety. The police is however on top of the situation and we shall uncover the group of the suspects and bring them to book.”
