Mara Mentor Youth Empowerment Program Rolls Out in Edo & Delta States

Mara Mentor allows young entrepreneurs to virtually connect to seasoned business leaders and entrepreneurs for advice and guidance.

In a bid to empower millions of young Nigerians, Mara Mentor, a youth empowerment program that focuses on enabling and inspiring entrepreneurs, will launch an awareness campaign for its entrepreneurship platform in Edo and Delta states today.

The youth empowerment program, which is in partnership with the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Ministry of Youth Development, Ministry of Communication Technology, National Planning Commission, Ernst and Young (EY), UN Women, telecoms partners (MTN and Airtel) and media partners (Pulse.ng and Beat 99.9 FM) will later move to Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Kano respectively.

Mara Mentor will also take the youth empowerment and entrepreneurship gospel into Anambra, Enugu, Kaduna, Kwara, Imo, Osun, Cross River and other states in Nigeria.

The Mara Mentor platform allows young entrepreneurs to virtually connect to seasoned business leaders and entrepreneurs for advice and guidance via its dedicated website (mentor.mara.com), and the Mara Mentor app.

With leading Nigerian entrepreneurs and business leaders like the Minister of Information and Communications Technology, Omobola Johnson, Professor Pat Utomi, Mo Abudu, Chude Jideonwo, Chris Ubosi and global business leaders, Ashish J. Thakkar and Bob Diamond signed up to the program as Mentors, the empowerment program offers a wealth of business experience and a revolutionary approach to mentorship to young Nigerians via web and mobile.

The program’s unique approach to business mentorship allows Mentees to engage Mentors in discussions, access training materials, read inspiring stories from successful entrepreneurs, news and related material on opportunities in industries via the website and the Mara Mentor app, which can be downloaded on Android, Apple, Blackberry and Nokia stores.

Mara Mentor will also visit university campuses and public places to interact with youths while daily activities of its awareness campaign across Nigeria will be updated on social media networks and on mentor.mara.com.
