A lecturer who has not been paid for six months decided to become a labourer.

Kayode Odeyemi, lecturer turned labourer

This photo has been making the rounds on social media in the past one week and according to the person who posted it, the man, Kayode Odeyemi, a lecturer at the Kwara State College of Education, Oro, resorted to cheap labour to eke out a living and take care of his family because the state government has refused to pay workers salaries in the past six months.

So to be able to provide for his family, the lecturer decided to engage himself as a labourer at a building site where he is paid a paltry N1, 500 daily.

Odeyemi was quoted to have appealed to the state government to come to his aid and those of other workers who are suffering in silence over the non payment of their salaries which has become so unbearable.

This is definitely not fair!
