The aim of this is not to rate the schools mentioned in the list or to reduce those not mentioned. But, these schools are only recommended because they have standard, pedigree  and infrastructure. They are considered the most patronised medical schools in the country because of these qualities.

Besides, they do not have issues with accreditation, which is a very important factor. Choosing one of these schools guarantees that you'll graduate at the right time as long as there are no union issues like ASUU strike.

An institution can run a medical school and still battle with accreditation problems. For instance, it took University of Abuja 12 years to get its medical faculty accredited. While Ekiti State University College of Medicine, EKSUCOM is still having issues with accreditation.

The College of Medicine was established in 2001, began operation in 2009 but the school has not graduated its pioneer students since inception.
