50 thugs reportedly invade state polytechnic, sack governing council
The thugs were reportedly sent by the Polytechnic Rector to prevent the Council from making a decision to unseat him.
According to the Daily Post, the thugs are allegedly loyal to the incumbent rector of the institution, Isah Mohammed.
The Governing Council according to reports had earlier planned to deliberate whether to support or reject the re-appointment of the rector whose tenure is expected to expire this week.
However, the thugs who were allegedly ordered by the rector stormed the venue of the council's meeting and stopped them from taking actions against the rectors' reappointment bid.

According to a source who spoke with Daily Post, the rector who had been accused of incompetence, gross misconduct and highhandedness, reportedly used some students and stooge within the school to organise protests.
Confirming the development, the Public Relations officer of the School, Luke Tijani said the tension was as a result of the expiration of the tenure of the rector Isah Mohammed.
Indicts Kogi Poly Bursar, 4 others over N157m fraud
The Kogi State Government through auditing, has uncovered payroll fraud of N157,350,381 million, allegedly perpetrated by some senior staff in the Bursary Department of the Kogi State Polytechnic.
The sum was fraudulently diverted from the purse of the school by the alleged perpetrators through different means into their own private accounts for personal use.
The payroll fraud was allegedly perpetrated by five different officers from the Bursary Department of the School between August 2014 and May 2017.
