UNILAG law student wins brand new car with okro soup and eba

Temitope became a car owner after preparing a meal of eba and okro soup that the Onga National Campus Cooking Competition judges could not resist.

A 22-year-old student of the student of University of Lagos (UNILAG), Miss Temitope Oyedija, has won the 2014 edition of the Onga National Campus Cooking Competition.

Oyedija, a law student at UNILAG, cooked Okro soup and Eba to win the competition's grand prize, a brand new2014 KIA Rio.

She beat 13 regional winners from 13 universities in the country in the Grand Finale of the competition which was held at the university’s Indoor Sports Hall.

Isaac Uzoenyi, a student of Abia State University, was the first runner up.

The Executive Director, Commercial, Promasidor Nigeria Limited, Kachi Onubogu, said the company hopes to make the competition popular amongst the youth in Nigeria.
