Reverend Kristina Rake, 41,  is the first female priest in catholic history.

She was ordained on Saturday, September 5,2015 at the St. Mary Magdalene Old Catholic Church, United States.

Rake, who currently resides in Chicago with her husband, Mark, and two kids, Katie and Nathan, said growing up she was always drawn to ministry but never was connected to a specific church.

“I always had a very close connection to God,” Rake said.

In 1994, 32 women were ordained as church of england priests in a service that was officiated by Bishop Barry Rogerson.
