President of the Imo State Baptist Conference, Chukwuemeka Augustine Nwosu, has called on the State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, to be proactive in governing the state for the next four years of his administration.

According to Rev. Nwosu the convention was an opportunity to boost the economy of the state stating that everything was put in place to sustain the welfare of the people and to win more souls for Christ across the globe
Daily Independent reports that Rev. Nwosu, addressing newsmen in Owerri, described the just concluded convention of the church as a gathering organized to move the country forward through prayers, stating that fasting was embarked upon for smooth conduct of the just concluded elections.
According to him the convention was an opportunity to boost the economy of the state stating that everything was put in place to sustain the welfare of the people and to win more souls for Christ across the globe.
Rev. Nwosu also appreciated the presence of governor Rochas Okorocha on the occasion even as his counterpart Rev. Dr. Peter Dom Nwachukwu in charge of the first Baptist church Owerri, appealed to the governor to fashion out modalities to boost the economy of the state in new administration.
