Student's disrespectful comment about Islam kills 8 in Zamfara
A disrespectful comment against Islam and Prophet Muhammad has resulted in the death of at least eight people in the Talata-Mafara community in Zamfara State.
This resulted in the student, receiving a serious beating from an angry crowd of Muslim faithfuls , the News Agency of Nigeria reports.
A man named Tajudeen was said to have rescued the student from the mob, and taken him to the hospital.
This act of kindness was not received well, as eyewitnesses said the mob took their anger out on Tajudeen’s house, by setting it on fire, thereby, killing eight persons.
Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari, the state governor, has promised to handle the situation, saying, “no stone will be left unturned until all those behind this act are brought to book.”
