Colossians 3:16 says, "let the message of Christ dwell among you richly", while Proverbs 7:2 states, "keep my commandments and live, And keep my teaching and law as the apple of your eye."
Another reason to know the word of God is so that you can always encourage and inspire not only yourself, but friends and family that might need it.

1. Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."
2. Psalm 42:11 - "Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God."
3. Proverbs 18:10 - "The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe."

4. Isaiah 40:28- 31 - "Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”
5. Romans 8:38-39 - "And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.
