Pontiff tweets thank you to Americans and Cubans

With my heartfelt thanks,May the love of Christ always guide the American people

 

Pope Francis tweeted a message of thanks to the American people early Monday morning.

"With my heartfelt thanks, may the love of Christ always guide the American people," he tweeted.

Francis also thanked the Cuban people after his trip there.

In Pope Francis final notes, he urged the people to live in unity, to never underestimate the power of kindness and never to forget family love.

The pontiff is said to be visiting countries in Africa with high rise in Islamic extremism and Christian- Muslim violence, which are Kenya, Uganda and Central African Republic.
