He stated that though the country has been free for 55 years, most Nigerians are not free and that if not for God’s intervention, the country will be experiencing another civil war.
Adeboye then urged Nigerians to keep praying for the president, vice president and Nigeria.
Read his comments below;
“It is possible for a country to be free, but its citizens are not. Nigeria has been free for 55 years, but many of us are not free. If not for God’s intervention, Nigeria would have been in another civil war. Without His intervention in this land, we would not be experiencing peace. We should keep praying for His peace to reign.
“We should also keep praying for the President and the Vice President so that in the next one year, in a way we cannot explain it, Nigeria will be celebrated among the nations of the world. We should also pray for all states in Nigeria so that in the next one year, all of them will also be celebrated.”
Recently, Pastor E.A Adeboye received a certificate of congressional recognition from US congressman Marcia L. Fudge for his devoted service, civic engagement and spiritual guidance on October 21, 2015.
The congressional recognition certificate is an award that recognises voluntary initiative, service and achievements of individuals or organisations in areas of Voluntary public service, personal development, and physical fitness.
